A lakeside ceremony, dusty blue bridesmaids, and a morning wedding on St. Patrick’s Day? Sarah and Jake’s Knoxville brunch wedding at The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm was full of happy tears, sweet surprises, and so much love.
Getting Ready With Mom
Sarah got ready with her mom right by her side. Between the big gold mirror, the quiet little moments, and her mom carefully buttoning up her gown, the morning felt calm and special.
A First Look With Dad
Before she saw Jake, Sarah surprised her dad with a first look in front of the stone fireplace. He turned around, saw his daughter in her wedding dress, and the hugs (and happy tears) started right away. Dad first looks are one of my very favorite moments to capture.
A First Look and Private Letters
Then it was Jake’s turn. Sarah walked up behind him on the brick garden path, wrapped in a cozy faux fur shawl for the chilly March morning. After their first look, they read private letters to each other, and there were definitely a few more tears.
We spent time on the lakeside dock under the white arbor and along the water before the ceremony, so they could relax and soak up every second with their guests afterward.
Dusty Blue and Tan
The wedding party looked so good together. The bridesmaids wore dusty blue gowns, and the guys matched Jake in tan suits. Sarah’s bouquet was full of white and blue blooms with soft greenery, tied with a blue ribbon.
A Lakeside Ceremony
Sarah’s dad walked her down to the ceremony deck over the lake, where a wooden cross and white draping set the scene. Their officiant led the ceremony, a bridesmaid shared a few words, and Sarah and Jake exchanged vows and rings before sealing it with a kiss while their family and friends cheered.
Portraits Around Hunter Valley Farm
After family photos, we snuck away for portraits around the property, including a pop of blue smoke in the field and a walk along the venue’s private sandy beach. The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm packs so many spots into one place: a dock with a white arbor, garden paths, open lawns, and that gorgeous lakefront view.
Why a Knoxville Brunch Wedding Works So Well
- Soft morning light. An earlier ceremony means bright, even light and no rushing to beat the sunset.
- A relaxed vibe. Morning weddings feel cozy and laid back, with brunch favorites instead of a formal dinner.
- Your evening is free. A daytime celebration wraps up early, so you and your guests can relax afterward.
- Do your first look early. Like Sarah and Jake, knock out portraits before the ceremony so you can enjoy every minute after.
