Foothills Parkway is currently our number one requested location for couples sessions. I mean, how could you NOT want these views? In my personal opinion, this parkway has some of the best views in the area. Not only that, but there isn’t too much traffic (yet) either! So, yet another Smoky Mountain anniversary session was photographed here, but this wasn’t one of my average shoots. Keep reading for the juice.
I love starting these sessions off in the wooded area of the Smoky Mountains, before we hit the mountain overlook. It gives a whole other vibe, and it’s like a second set of images. Who wants photos that all look the same, anyway?
I’m gonna be honest here, the grass was a little wet, but I’m glad I have such troopers as clients! Variety is key and I love getting some sitting shots during most of my sessions.
If you have been following me for some time, you know that this pose is one of my signature poses. I do it with almost every couples who are willing!
The Grand Event
You guessed it! Just as we were switching poses, we hear a pretty loud *thud* across the road. Honestly, it sounded like a rock had fallen. But, it wasn’t a rock… The bushes started moving and out comes one of the most popular animals in the smokies. That’s right, a black bear! I have lived here my entire life, but ya’ll, I was pretty frightened. It scared the actual s!@# out of me. But hey, at least it wasn’t a baby!
We jumped right back into it after I was finished freaking out a little bit and my adrenaline calmed down.
