This babe contacted us for a portrait session for her 22nd birthday. I got super excited because it is definitely a change of pace for me, being that we mainly shoot weddings and couples. This session was basically an adult cake smash session, without the cake. It was a rainy day at the Knoxville Botanical Garden, but that didn’t stop us! We got some gorgeous stuff, and the overcast sky made for some perfect light. You guys, this girl could model she was so good in front of the camera! I had to give her little direction, and she absolutely killed it.

I keep clear umbrellas in my car for days like this, and for good reason. Clear umbrellas brighten the day and the mood by adding a little touch of detail. Honestly, I love shooting in the rain!

This series with the door at the Knoxville Botanical Garden has to be my favorite from the day. Also, can you see those water droplets in the sky?
