Cades Cove Engagement Shoot in The Great Smoky Mountains

Jessica contacted me a few short weeks ago looking for a photographer that she really meshed with. That’s seriously so important when looking for your perfect wedding vendors. Think about that. Your photographer will be with you the most on your wedding day. If you don’t get along, you are going to have such a terrible experience. BUT, if you get along with your photographer really well and you have the same interests, you will have SO MUCH FUN. And, it definitely shows when you’re in front of the camera!

Let’s be honest, we are all awkward in front of the camera, especially if it’s your first time. We aren’t all models. I am awkward in front of the camera myself, and I direct and pose people for a living! How weird is that? The more fun we can have together, the easier it will be for both of us, and the more genuine smiles we will get!

We got Jessica + Nick’s engagement session right on the books as soon as they booked, and we were shooting a week later. They wanted to get some ‘Save The Dates’ sent out as soon as possible. They chose Cades Cove as their location of choice, and you guys… It was GORGEOUS. We saw several mama bears along with their babies on our trip out as well and it was so much fun!

Jessica wanted to have a wardrobe change during her session and OMG. When she came out of the car from changing, my eyes were hearts! SHE ROCKED THAT FELT HAT! Can you believe I gave her zero guidance on her outfit choices? Seriously, she freaking killed it.

One of her only requests was this photo right here. She wanted a cheesy Save The Date photo, and I delivered just that.

If you are considering having your engagement session in Cades Cove, please keep in mind that your photographer must be licensed to shoot there. Willow + Rove is a licenced Smoky Mountain photographer which includes Cades Cove. If you are still searching for your perfect photographer, let’s have a chat!
