Cades Cove is one of the prettiest places for engagement photos in the Smoky Mountains. The open fields, winding roads, old trees, and mountain layers give every part of the session a different feel. It can look soft and romantic one minute, then wild and adventurous the next.

Jessica and Nick started in relaxed outfits that felt perfect for the natural setting. We used simple prompts and plenty of movement, so they could focus on each other instead of worrying about what to do with their hands. Planning an engagement session in Cades Cove

Cades Cove Loop Road is an 11-mile, one-way road near Townsend, Tennessee. Traffic can be heavy during summer, fall, and weekends, so extra travel time is important. The road is generally open from sunrise to sunset and is closed to vehicles on Wednesdays during part of the year. Always check the National Park Service Cades Cove page for current access details before your session.

Wildlife is part of what makes the area special, but bears and other animals need plenty of space. We never approach or disturb wildlife for a photograph. A flexible timeline also helps because weather, traffic, and animal activity can change plans quickly in the Smokies.
