Dana and Derek’s Aspire Park wedding was my very first time photographing at Aspire, and y’all, I am OBSESSED. Rolling hills, a meadow full of tall golden grasses, stone steps, a boardwalk and a reception space wrapped in windows? I would come back here in a heartbeat!
Their October day was full of happy tears, a gorgeous mulberry and dusty rose palette, and one very good dog. Let’s dive in!
A Catholic ceremony at All Saints
Dana and Derek said “I do” at All Saints Catholic Church in Knoxville. The church is so bright and airy, with stained glass and warm wood pews that make every photo glow.
Derek wiped away happy tears the second Dana walked in with her dad. Her bridesmaids fixed her veil at the altar, the two of them held hands as they said their vows, and then came that first kiss as newlyweds!

Wedding party photos at Aspire
Then it was off to Aspire! We started with the wedding party on the stone steps and out in the Wildflower Meadow. The bridesmaids’ mulberry dresses popped SO beautifully against the golden grasses and blue sky, and this crew brought all the fun.

Dana and Derek also brought their pup along, which instantly made my whole day. If you’re thinking about including your dog, do it! Those photos always end up being favorites.
Portraits in the Wildflower Meadow
Aspire is a photographer’s dream. We wandered the meadow paths, walked the boardwalk through the tall grasses and caught the soft afternoon light with the hills rolling out behind them. Dana’s veil caught the breeze in the best way, and these two were so easy to photograph because they just kept laughing together.

A reception with a view
The reception at Aspire was just as stunning. Floor to ceiling windows look right out over the meadow and hills, so the room fills with natural light. Dana and Derek’s colors were mulberry, dusted rose, off white and eucalyptus greenery, and it all looked so elegant with dark linens and lush florals.
Dinner came from The Pearl at Aspire, the park’s restaurant, and the cake table sat right in front of the windows. Cutting the cake with that view behind them? Unreal.

They made a big grand entrance, shared a sweet first dance, and then danced with their parents. Derek hugging his mom on the dance floor got me right in the heart.
