Darby and Reid met a little over three years ago through mutual friends at Austin City Limits Music Festival. They have done long distance through most of their relationship, so communication and being their silly selves has been huge for their relationship. They are both in the Air Force and Darby had just gotten home from an 8 month long deployment! Darby and Reid picked up right where they left off and Reid knew he would marry her even before she left for this deployment. They were visiting friends in Knoxville on this particular weekend and they both love the outdoors and pretty fall foliage so he knew it would be a great Knoxville proposal at Mead’s Quarry.
Knoxville Proposal at Mead’s Quarry
Have you seen a more perfect, simple proposal? This proposal was so perfect with only their two best friends and dog present for the moment. Darby was 100% surprised and had no idea this was going down! She thought she was being boujee and going for a small hike to take photos with her best friend for the gram. SURPRISE! Let’s get them married, now.
Every part of this Knoxville proposal was perfection. Reid planned out every detail, down the the T. One of my favorite part of proposal sessions, is the champagne pop! Want the perfect champagne pop photos? Check out this tip! Pop the champagne bottle first, and then put your thumb over the opening (like a water hose) and start shaking! Make sure to point it away from your face (and partner) and away from the camera. It’s a perfect champagne pop every time and makes for great photos. Another pro tip: be cautious of your facial expressions and keep on smiling. Sneak in a kiss if you’re feeling adventurous, and you’ve got some amazing photographs. That’s all there is to it!
