I love living in the Great Smoky Mountains! It is so often that we venture out to photograph our amazing clients in front of the mountains. As a matter of fact, almost every single one of our out-of-town clients want that backdrop. I’m definitely not mad about it. I will shoot in front of the mountains all day long! It is amazing that I get to call this place home.

The Great Smoky Mountains is where I was born and raised. When my parents decided they wanted to move here (some 27 years ago), they were pregnant with me. They had vacationed here often with my older siblings and fell in love with the area. That says a lot, because we traveled a lot, and still do travel a lot! Sightseeing is what I grew up doing, and it has molded me into the little traveler that I am today. That may even be why I always wanted to be a photographer!

One thing I love doing when shooting families, is pulling mom and dad aside and getting a few shots of just them. Every time I do this, they say something along the lines of “We haven’t had a picture together since our wedding!” It brings me so much joy to give this to them.

If you haven’t visited Cades Cove while you’re in town, its definitely a must see!

Being that about 90% of our clients are traveling in from out of state, I enjoy capturing these memories for them so much more. Dad may fuss about having to take family pictures on vacation, but trust me, your children will thank you in twenty years!
