There are so many things to say about this firefighter wedding! When Deanna first contacted me via Facebook, I didn’t realize who she was. It was only until I clicked on her profile photo to recognize that I worked with her years ago at the original Lumberjack Feud! She chose to hire us and we kicked things off with an engagement session. Deanna and Matthew are both firefighters, so it was obviously fitting to have part of their engagement session at their fire station. You can read more about it in that dedicated blog post.
After finalizing the timeline and sending out their questionnaire, Deanna informed me that she was pregnant! BIG CONGRATS by the way! 17 weeks pregnant for her wedding, she let me just tell you, she was freaking glowing. Not only that, but she mentioned she wanted to do a faux first look with one of her guy friends to trick Matthew. Of course, we were all over that! Ya’ll, that first look was hilarious. Scroll down to see those photos, I won’t spoil it in this text.
They had some of their co-workers bring over an engine to take photos with, and we killed it with the wedding party shot! These photos definitely speak for themselves and show exactly how the entire day went. Check it out.
Deanna’s advice to brides: “Enjoy it, try not to stress.”
The faux cotton made the perfect background for some of these ring shots. I am obsessed with cotton.
Shout out to Sydney Chandler for making Deanna look so freaking amazing with that makeup!
Funny story: Everyone screamed when the confetti bottle popped. It was SO loud and we weren’t ready for it. Ava is clearly unimpressed.
Our second shooter went out to a separate location to photograph the groomsmen getting ready!
Ava wanted to try on momma’s dress before she got into it. 10/10 love these moments.
This faux first look was HILARIOUS. A kiss right on the mouth because why not.
And then the firefighter couples shot.
This fire truck wedding party shot is probably my favorite to date.
I threw these two shots in here from the reception because they are the bomb dot com. This guest was passing by with a cigar and my flash backlit his cigar smoke and it turned out pretty epic.
