I have a love hate relationship with Cades Cove. There’s no cell service, which means my clients can’t contact me at all. The traffic in October is horrendous. HOWEVER, how can I not plan sessions here with VIEWS LIKE THAT? I’m going to be honest here. I was 45 minutes late to this session. FORTY-FIVE FREAKING MINUTES! I am very rarely late to anything, and I even left an hour earlier than I normally would have. I am super grateful they waited on me at the location, and were very understanding about the bumper-to-bumper traffic (which was also at a dead stop for at least twenty minutes.)
Anywho, let’s get back to the point here. I love shooting in Cades Cove and I have nailed down meeting areas so to not get lost. This Cades Cove fall family session was one of the many sessions I had this week. Just a little FYI for those reading – All photographers need a CUA permit to shoot in any portion of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Make sure the photographer that you hire has one! Of course, we have ours!
This family traveled in from Illinois to the beautiful state of Tennessee for a week vacation. As with most of our vacationers this time of the year, they were looking to see the leaves changing! They sure did come at the right time, because the leaves are at their peak for changing colors.
