Norris Lake
Andrea and Nick are a military couple, and eloped several months before this session. We decided to take their Norris Lake outdoor wedding photos with friends and family on the lake. He hadn’t seen Andrea in her dress yet, so this moment was special. After their cabin was cancelled in Gatlinburg, they scrambled to book another place nearby. They ended up booking something on Norris Lake. With the short notice change of plans, I researched a lot to figure out a new place to shoot. We landed on Norris Dam State Park and it couldn’t have been a better decision.
Rocky Top, Tennessee
You hear “Rocky Top, Tennessee” in the Tennessee Volunteers’ fight song often, and well, here we are. We decided to show off the beauty of the surrounding area and it was a blast. Check out these amazing photos from their faux wedding in Tennessee!
First Look with Nick & Andrea
I always love a good first look, and this one at their Norris Lake outdoor wedding was so romantic. Nick hadn’t seen her in her dress during planning and the shock and joy on his face was everything.
After family portraits, it was time for couples photos. Couple portraits are some of my favorites, we’re able to sneak the bride and groom away for a few minutes alone. Norris Lake made a beautiful backdrop for this stunning couple, there was a fun element of adventure, we had a blast. Norris Dam is also a great location for your ceremony, as well. They have so many different locations there!
At the end of their beautiful outdoor wedding, we brought out some fun smoke bombs. Smoke bombs are such a fun way to bring color to the shoot, and incorporate wedding colors into your photos. Smoke bombs are one of my favorite props for couples portraits, and you can see why!
