Mead’s Quarry at iJams Nature Center is one of our absolute favorite locations to shoot. From maternity to families to engagements, its an all around amazing location! When I suggested the location to this beautiful babe, Hali, she was ecstatic! She had never been here before, but was really pleased with it from her Google search. I’m glad she approved, because just look at how stunning these images turned out!
As soon as I saw Hali and Brandon exit their vehicle, I was stunned at their outfit choice. I didn’t even coach them! The way they matched without matching is so beautiful.
Education moment: It is illegal to shoot ON train tracks, even if they are inactive! Please keep that in mind when you are shooting, or if you are shooting with another photographer who suggests it. It is better to be safe than sorry! There have been many, many horror stories regarding photo shoots on train tracks. Don’t let that be you.
Here’s a little insider information from me, the photographer. Often times, I will go back through galleries multiple times following delivery of the session. I am so obsessed with my clients and their love for each other, it brings me so much joy to reminisce on these times. I am so in love with what I do, especially knowing the joy the photos I deliver will bring my couples and families over time. Years and years from now, these photos will be viewed. Memories will be brought up, stories will be told, and I get to be apart of that. How amazing is that?
Willow + Rove Creative is a Knoxville, Tennessee photographer serving the surrounding areas as well. While we mainly shoot weddings and elopements, we love stepping away from that sometimes to shoot amazing portraits like these! It’s a nice change of pace for sure. Want photos like these at Mead’s Quarry? Shoot us an email and we would love to hear about what you’re dreaming up!
