When Erin inquired about an engagement session, I didn’t know what I was in for. I didn’t know that she was going to describe one of my dream sessions. She wanted a high-fashioned adventurous session in The Great Smoky Mountains. When she described her dream session to me, my wheels immediately started turning. We ended up at the new ‘Missing Link’ portion of Foothills Parkway for this Engagement session. It was raining all day, but they were all about it. They wanted to make this session happen rain or shine, and I’m not mad at all. Shooting in the rain is actually on my bucket list, but I haven’t had a couple want to sport it out with me! It ended up clearing up about an hour before their session, so we didn’t get any rain shots, but we did make magic happen.
This gorgeous couple is from Nashville, TN and they traveled up this way for Erin’s hair and makeup trial run. What better idea than to schedule an engagement session on the same day? Two birds, one stone. Her hair and makeup artist did a phenomenal job, and seriously made her look like a princess. Not only did her hair and makeup look fantastic, she wore an emerald dress that complimented her SO WELL.
If you can’t tell yet, it was an extremely windy day on Foothills Parkway for this engagement session. The flowy, emerald dress was blowing like crazy. Not to fret, though, it enhanced the images that much more. The movement in the photographs is so pleasing to the eye!
Aaaaaand, my favorite images from the entire session follow.
Last but not least, when everything is dead in March and it has been raining all day, you use your client’s dress as a backdrop for that gorgeous engagement ring.
Such a magical session this was. One of my favorite engagement sessions to date at Foothills Parkway in Sevierville, TN! Dreaming up something similar? Shoot us a message to discuss what kind of magic we can create together!
